Spider veins and broken capillaries, which commonly occur on the face and legs, can be treated with laser, Intense Pulse Light (IPL) technology, or with sclerotherapy injections.

Lasers or IPL are more commonly prescribed for vascular conditions such as roseacea, or for smaller veins and broken blood vessels.

Sclerotherapy is more commonly recommended for larger veins on the legs. Multiple treatments may be needed to eliminate veins. Although treatment of veins is often permanent, over time new veins may become visible.

In most cases, you will return to normal activity right after the procedure. Proper sun protection is essential to prevent skin discoloration. Treatment of leg veins may require wearing specialized compression stockings for 1-2 weeks following your treatment.
