Ultrasonic Breast Implant Softening incorporates the technology of ultrasound to treat capsular contracture, a complication of excess scar tissue that may make a breast implant feel hard, uncomfortable or appear tight.

Performed on an outpatient basis in our office, ultrasonic breast implant softening may be recommended as an option to treat less serious conditions of capsular contracture.

In cases where ultrasonic breast implant softening does not achieve your desired outcomes, Dr. Codner may recommend additional surgery or implant replacement (see Breast Repairs).
